White House Credit Card Declined At State Dinner

Washington, D.C. — In what was supposed to be a grand event quickly turned into quite an embarrassing moment for the Obama Administration as The White House’s credit card was declined at the State Dinner. The humiliating event happened just moments after President Obama had been busy entertaining The British Royal Family.  Attendees could hear the President arguing under his breath with the caterer at one point saying “Run it again. I said run it again! You ran it four times? Fair enough…let me make a quick call.”

Traditionally the State Dinner is a pre-paid event, however according to various sources The Obama Administration insisted on paying after.  Recently, rumors have been swirling around Washington that Joe Biden has been racking up bills left and right, buying everything from decked-out Pool Tables to “killer” Barcaloungers from Rooms To Go.  An attendee claimed to overhear the President arguing with his bank, “OK, well I’m not Joe so this shouldn’t effect me.  Fine, so just override the account.  I don’t understand, I made that payment. Yes, but — Look, I specifically told you guys not to deposit that check until Tuesday.  Tuesday!”

“I don’t understand, I made that payment. Yes, but — Look, I specifically told you guys not to deposit that check until Tuesday. Tuesday!”

Apparently things became so dire that Secretary of State, John Kerry, moved from table to table collecting cash from attendees while Joe Biden distracted The Royal Family by showing off his new chain wallet.

Sources tell us that The Royal Family decided to call it a night earlier than expected in order to escape the awkwardness.  President Obama attempted to stop the royal family and one point, saying “Don’t do this. Everything is…fine. Please stay. Please?” Unfortunately, the royal family could not be swayed leaving the President to be comforted by an overly consoling Joe Biden, wherein he insisted they “hug it out.”
