Cincinnati, OH — Racking his brain for something he may have forgotten, recently retired Walter Henderson aimlessly wanders his house looking for something, anything to do. Three weeks ago, Henderson, a 31-year veteran of the work force, decided to give it all up and focus on his long forgotten dream of finding something to do around the house. “I try to stay busy, it’s good for me,” said Henderson with a smile.
When asked about his typical day, Henderson replied, “I get up bright and early every morning, I go downstairs and check on the dog. Then, I look out the window for a few minutes and then…I look for something to do. Sometimes, if there’s nothing to do, I’ll just go to the garage and cry…not too sure what that’s all about, but it seems to take up a large portion of my day.”

The change of pace is easily welcomed by Henderson, “When I was working, I used to knock out small errands without really appreciating what I was doing, but now the little things are the main event.” After 31 years it appears that dreams do come true, “Ever since I was a little boy, I dreamed of wandering a house looking for small things to do, and now…now that dream is fulfilled.”
